Are you a landscaper?
Would you like to find out about joining the Quiet Landscaping program? Would you like to get new customers?
REGISTER in THE TOWN OF PRINCETON All landscapers operating in Princeton are required to register with the town. The process has been updated. Application is here. Registration is required by ordinance but there is no charge.
Here’s what you would do when you enroll as a “Quiet Landscaper”:
- If your customer requests, you would agree to provide lawn maintenance without use of leaf blowers at all, or if the customer allows, with limited use of electric leaf blowers in small areas, but never with gas-powered leaf blowers.
- You would agree that you will mention this option to your customers.
- You can increase your charge if necessary, depending on how much raking will be required.
(We recommend that you discuss with your customer ways to keep the extra cost as low as possible: You can concentrate leaf clean-up on only the areas that you and your customer agree on. You can rake leaves into beds or into a corner of the yard. You can use a mulching lawn mower to blow leaves into beds and to mulch leaves that are left on the lawn.)- If a customer does not want Quiet Landscaping, then you can just do your work in your usual way.
